Now, if you want to ensure that the vehicle always outputs the most power and performs the best, the wheels need to be correctly aligned. Unfortunately, it is something many people neglect.

What Is Proper Wheel Alignment?

We often tell clients that they need to stay on top of the condition of their tires to ensure that they are driving a safe and comfortable vehicle. However, that’s just one piece of the puzzle. The other piece is wheel alignment which mainly refers to how the wheels are mounted and connected to the steering system. Correct alignment will mean that your wheels all point straight with the tires properly angled and centered within the wheel wells. Aligned wheels promote a safer and longer tire life along with a smooth ride.

Wheels that aren’t balanced will mean that the vehicle does not handle properly or even operate accurately. The outcomes can be negative, as misalignment will lead to your car becoming dangerous and highly inefficient. That said, there are three types of alignment services that we perform for clients, i.e., front end, thrust angle, and four wheels.

What Does the Wheel Alignment Service Include?

A misalignment often means that the angle of the wheels and the tires associated with your steering system are slightly off by a few degrees. Our goal is to make sure that all four wheels are parallel to each other and on flat ground. To do this requires that we adjust the wheels’ angles until they are back to original specifications, usually outlined in the vehicle’s owner’s manual.

Our technicians will account for Camber, Caster, and Toe. Caster is mainly the angle of the steering wheel axis, which is the suspension part collectively supporting the wheels. The camber is the tilt inwards or outwards of the tire when seen from the front. The value can be either negative or positive. Finally, the Toe is the front and back tires’ relation with each other when seen from above.
